OFF TOPIC: Polestars 2 and 4
Some of you will know that I took the plunge into Electric Cars a couple of years back, leasing a black Polestar 2.

I've taken this to and from the continent, and the only time I've had problems charging it was in Oxford finding a working fast charger.
It is a great car...
But the other week it died (RIP Shadowfax), or rather the 12 v battery, that runs the onboard systems, as well as the TPAM battery both died. These don't get charged by the charging infrastructure, but are charged when driving - I'm not sure how they got discharged as I'd driven to and from Oxford the previous day, and had 39% charge on the drive battery. The next day I tried to unlock it but.... dead as a doornail, it was emulating a Norwegien Blue - pushing up the daisies, it was an ex-polestar....
Recovery person came out and 'jump started' it but told me it was likely to happen again within a week, and I should get it to the garage, via the Polestar recorery, ASAP.
The next day it was picked up by Polestar recovery and taken to Harwoods Volvo, Crawley (eventually). They tell me, after exhaustive testing, that the 12v needs to be replaced, and the TPAM might also need it... Great, think I, maybe I'll get a couple of days in the courtesy car... BUT... The 12v battery is out of stock, and they have no idea when it will be back in stock... So I've got the courtesy car for a while....
My courtesy car arrived the next morning - a spanking new white (Snow?) Polestar 4 (yes the one without the rear window) - welcome Sleipnir!!

Now, I love this car. It is so far above and beyond what I expected in a courtesy car, it is SO comfortable, and a joy to drive! With around 300 miles range, I've charged it once since I got it. Some of the details are (literally, in the case of colour trim schemes) out of this world. After a while you don't miss the rear view, using the camera(s) and the virtual mirror with ease.
BUT... The OS, and heads up display are not as good as the 2 (excepting the split screen stuff, which is great) - scratch that I've just found the heads up display, which, genuinely made me laugh with glee, and I found how to change the behind steering wheel screen... Still, occasionally, the car really doesn't know where it is:
